About Mr. Pickles
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Mr. Pickles was found as a stray and originally was going to be returned outside after being ear-tipped and vaccinated, but his gentle, affectionate nature immediately won over the shelter staff. He proved to be so sweet that everyone agreed he deserved a real home, quickly becoming a beloved favorite. Initial health checks for FIV and FELV came back negative; however, Mr. Pickles tested positive for heartworms, making his adoption a little more complex. Despite this, he is now thriving in foster care. He gets along beautifully with other foster and resident cats, and has a calm, quiet temperament, though he does enjoy playful moments with kittens. He loves snuggling and faithfully sleeps beside his foster mom every night. Mr. Pickles is available for adoption no matter his heartworm status. There is no direct treatment for heartworms in cats, but his most recent test showed signs of improvement, so everyone is hoping for a clean bill of health soon. He is safe and happy in foster care in the meantime. If you're willing to give this sweet, perfect cat a loving home—even as he waits out his heartworm diagnosis—you are encouraged to apply. And if you want to wait until he's heartworm free, that's okay too! Mr. Pickles will remain in loving foster care until just the right family comes along. Start your journey together! Apply now.
