About Axl

Axl brings nine and a half years’ worth of character wherever he goes. He’s medium-sized, about 33 pounds, and carries traces of both Terrier and Dachshund in his jaunty stride—plus a tan, short-haired coat that’s easy to care for. Rescued alongside his siblings and having overcome a heart defect, he’s tough, but you wouldn’t know it except for the way he bounces back from anything. Axl came back to the rescue recently, not by choice, but stays optimistic. He knows some basic commands, plays gentle with everyone, and if you want company for a walk, he’ll happily show off one of his favorite tricks: carrying his own leash. Axl gets along with cats, enjoys time with other mellow dogs, and doesn’t mind kids either. He’s house trained, neutered, and current on vaccines. His adoption package even includes a lifetime microchip registration. Born November 11th, Axl is a Scorpio—so expect loyalty, intensity, and that signature wit Scorpios are known for. He’s ready to join a home where he can keep shining, prancing, and loving as only Axl can. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
