Leela’s journey has not been easy. She came to us as a stray, carrying the scars of chemical burns on her back and an enlarged right eye. Her medical intake revealed she was heartworm positive, and she now receives daily eye drops to help with her moderate visual impairment. Despite all she’s endured, Leela’s spirit shines bright. This sweet girl loves her walks, playtime, and most of all...feeding time! She’s a big fan of treats, which makes training fun and rewarding. Leela is working on her leash manners, and with a tasty bone or two, she’s eager to learn new tricks. Because of her heartworm treatment, Leela hasn’t yet been introduced to other pups, but once she’s fully recovered, we’re hopeful she’ll enjoy making doggo friends. In the meantime, she’s showing us every day how resilient, affectionate, and joyful she truly is. Leela is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and spayed. She's ready to begin her new chapter in a loving home. She deserves a family who will see past her hardships and cherish the wonderful companion she is becoming.
