Squeakers has a story. She lived outside for approximately 10 years with a few other stray cats and had multiple people feed her throughout those years. She eventually became the only one of that group so was rescued last year before the cold weather set in. During her time in foster, she greeted everyone with delightful squeaks so was quickly renamed. When she was living outside, she developed a cough and congestion, which has improved somewhat and is still being treated at the shelter. She later shared her foster room with a younger male cat who learned from her how to trust humans. She was not fond of him trying to snuggle with her but didn't mind him hanging out close by. Squeakers is very happy to be petted and brushed but doesn't mind spending time by herself or with another laid back cat. She was once someone's cat and deserves to be again in a comfortable, forever home.
