About Squeegee
Squeegee is a unique and resilient shepherd mix looking for a home as special as she is. Originally from the US Virgin Islands, she was born with a birth defect causing partial paralysis in her back legs. That hasn’t slowed her down—she scoots confidently and gets around with her wheelchair or stroller, both of which she'll bring with her. At about 1.5 years old and 35 pounds, she’s fully grown with a short, brown and apricot coat. Her life is pain free, and she’s undergone months of physical therapy that can continue in her new home for extra benefit. Squeegee is unspayed under veterinary recommendation, but her vaccinations are up to date, and she’s microchipped and dewormed. She gets along well with dogs, cats, kids, and people generally, and her friendly nature stands out in every interaction. She can control her bladder and bowel movements and goes outside to potty, though she wears a diaper for extra protection due to how close her body is to the ground—UTIs can crop up, so she thrives on a regular potty schedule. This girl needs a patient adopter who can be home much of the time or include her in daily life, as she does best with company. Squeegee’s story takes a little extra commitment, but she gives back in fun, warmth, and love. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
