About Cayuya
Meet Cayuya (pronounced Key-ah-wa and sometimes called Yawa), a unique girl with a story that started in Peru and brought her all the way to Palm Springs, FL. She’s a small, apricot and chocolate mixed-breed dog, about 3 years old. At first, Cayuya tends to be shy and needs a quiet, low-traffic home where she can settle in at her own pace. Once she feels safe, her quirky sense of humor and love for her people shine. She’s the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and sticks by your side. Cayuya is happiest with another dog to play with—she genuinely enjoys their company. She’s housebroken and crate trained. Her curiosity is part of her charm; she likes to check out what’s on the counter, peeking just high enough to see, but never taking anything. Her outgoing and playful nature, along with her loyalty, make living with her a rewarding experience. She’d do best with someone who’s patient and invested in helping her blossom.
