Dessie has already packed a lot of life experience into a short time—twice left behind with his siblings, but still as playful and loving as ever. This young Black Labrador mix adores romping around in the yard with his fellow dogs and chasing down toys. He's also a fan of nap time, especially if it means curling up in a crate or nestling in close to his foster parents, head tucked right on an arm. Dessie is curious about cats, though he admits they puzzle—and sometimes scare—him, and he's been known to try chasing when they run. That's a work in progress. He's looking for someone who loves to cuddle, hands out the good snacks, and doesn't mind being followed from room to room. Dessie has his crate routine down and is getting the hang of house training. While leash walks are new territory and a source of nerves, his eagerness to learn shines through. He gets along easily with other dogs and children, making him an easy fit for a lively, affectionate home.
