About Checkers
Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Known affectionately as Molly or Checkers, this dignified senior feline has truly earned her names and wears them with pride. Checkers is a very independent cat who has a strong affinity for treats and wet food. She adores the routine she shares with the staff, showing her affection when her needs are met just right. She is currently thriving on daily medication for her hyperthyroidism, which is well managed and something she happily takes with her wet food. Ideally, Checkers seeks a home where she is the only cat, or with one other respectful feline companion. She is not a fan of dogs and would do best in a dog-free home to avoid any confrontations. A fun fact: Born on January 30th, Checkers is an Aquarius! Aquarian cats are known for their quirky, independent spirits, and Checkers embodies these traits perfectly. All of the cats offered through Somerset Humane Society, including Checkers, come microchipped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and have received flea preventative and dewormer treatments. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
