He gets along well with dogs, he is indifferent to cats. He loves to play ball. He would do well in a family with lots of energy. Loves to run in the yard. He has done well with everyone that he has come into contact with here. He loves teenagers. I am not sure about smaller children. At about 45 pounds he still needs to gain a few pounds. Even though he was starved he is not food aggressive. He does have some anxiety with bath and car rides. He has to have his calming chews to take a bath. He is a very vocal dog. He is housebroken. He will keep your yard safe from the squirrels, birds and any other small creature that tries to invade his space. He loves to be petted and will gently remind you he needs some loving pets. He would do well with a large yard to play in. He knows some basic commands. I am told he is 8 1/2 years old although he acts much younger than that. Acts more like a 4 or 5 year old dog. His favorite toys are balls and knotted rope toys. Sometimes he nibbles on a stuffed toy almost like he is using it as a pacifier.
