About Marty

Marty joined Shadow Cats in early 2023 after many happy years with his previous owner. Due to a diabetes diagnosis and changes in routine, he needed a new home. Although Marty is shy, he is incredibly affectionate once he bonds with his person, often demanding attention in the gentlest ways. Loud noises and sudden movements can unsettle him, but he delights in sitting with you, whether at your desk or curled up in your lap. Marty prefers a calm environment, so a home without other pets would suit him best, although he has made occasional friends with the resident office cat, sometimes even sharing playtime. Right now, he’s living in the office keeping our director company, but he truly deserves a quieter space where he can receive the love and attention he craves. **Special Needs:** Marty has diabetes that requires daily glucose assessments and a specific diet. Thankfully, he’s managed well with just diet adjustments and doesn’t need insulin often. It's recommended to add Purina's calming care to help with his anxiety. Ready to fall in love?
