Calypso
AvailableCalypso is a medium-sized female calico cat with a short coat who is currently being cared for by Second Chance Dog Rescue. She is an adult and has been spayed, and her vaccinations are current. She would thrive in a patient, tranquil environment without children.
About Calypso
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Calypso is a lovely lady on a mission to find her forever home, ideally with someone experienced and patient with cats. Her story is both touching and inspiring: after living her whole life outdoors, she transitioned into foster care about eight months ago and became an incredible mama, nurturing her kittens until each found a loving home. Now, it's Calypso's turn in the spotlight! She isn't your typical cuddle cat—her personality is a beautiful mix of mystery and independence. Sometimes she's up for a cozy petting session, but other times, she lets her strong-willed nature lead the way, reminding you why cats are so endearing. Calypso enjoys snuggles on her terms and, true to her finicky feline roots, might follow affection with a playful swipe. Living with other cats in her foster home, she's shown she can share space, although she doesn't get along with every feline she meets. When it comes to dogs, especially the bigger ones, she coexists peacefully. Because of her adventures outdoors, extra caution is advised when doors are opened—she has a soft spot for window-watching and has made a few attempts at exploration but always comes back to her comfort zone. Calypso is seeking a quiet, child-free home where one-on-one attention and patience are plentiful. She deserves a gentle environment to gain trust and continue blossoming into the wonderful companion she is meant to be. Honesty and understanding of her quirks will help her finally settle into a loving life free of trauma and full of promise. Thank you for considering opening your heart and home to this exceptional kitty. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Calypso
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Calico cats do not require outdoor space and are generally safer and healthier when kept indoors. They enjoy window views and may benefit from an enclosed porch or catio if it is available.
