About Rubble

They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Meet Rubble (rhymes with trouble), a scruffy, small terrier mix who at just seven months old has already faced more challenges than most dogs do in a lifetime. Found abandoned in a carrier by a dumpster as a scared puppy, Rubble’s early days were anything but easy. Though the thought of calling him Dumpster Fire was entertained—reflecting his tumultuous beginnings—his gentle soul and resilience prevailed. After a tough start with a bustling family and a pack of rowdy children who didn’t respect his boundaries, Rubble learned to guard his space and resources. This little 10-pound pup, who looks like a living stuffed toy, is understandably wary—especially when new hands approach. But once he senses you’re not a rowdy toddler or someone who’ll scold him for standing his ground, Rubble quickly opens up into a playful, cuddly companion. With foster care support, Rubble has integrated well with other dogs and displays great potential for a happy future. At his young age, he’s in prime position to blossom in a calm, supportive environment that offers force-free training and patient socialization. He’s looking for someone committed to rebuilding his trust and showing him he’s safe and loved. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
