Found as a tiny, undernourished kitten stranded on a busy street, his rough beginning included fighting off a respiratory infection and bouncing between fosters for intensive care. He’s got a funny streak—catch him bird-watching, challenging you to a game of 'let me into places I shouldn’t go,' or calmly demanding food by tapping your knee with a gentle, claw-free pat. After a serious medical scare during his neuter procedure led to a stroke, Winston worked his way back with slow, stubborn determination. He’s learned to overcome some quirky aftereffects, including post-stroke spinning and playing the litter box game on his own terms. He prefers odd sleeping spots over any fluffy bed and is known to wrestle with kittens, though adult cats sometimes aren't sure what to think of his uniquely confident style. Occasionally, Winston gets skittish and dashes about mysteriously, settling down on his own in time. He’s a loving, one-of-a-kind cat who needs someone who truly appreciates his spirited, unconventional ways. Under rescue policy, kittens under four months must be adopted in pairs, unless there’s already another cat at home.
