About Willie
Meet Willie! Willie is a 90-pound goofball with a heart as big as he is. As a Lab and Anatolian Shepherd mix, he brings the best of both worlds—he’s protective and loyal like an Anatolian, but playful and water-loving like a classic Lab. Willie adores people and gets along well with children, though he’ll do best in homes with kids at least five years old since he’s a big guy. He gets along with other dogs after a slow introduction but can be a bit protective over his food and toys. Cats are an unknown, but given his easygoing nature, he’d probably handle them just fine. Willie is happiest outdoors, whether he’s hiking, walking, camping, or just going for a drive. He’s housebroken, uses a doggy door, and does well in a crate. He’s also worked with a trainer and is great with commands. Willie loves to splash around whenever he sees water, and his Anatolian side means he’s serious about keeping his home and family safe—he’s an excellent deterrent for any coyotes. At the end of the day, Willie’s favorite thing is cuddling with his people, resting his big head in your lap for a good rub. He’s loyal, loving, and would thrive as an only pet or with other dogs.
