About Maury
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Maury has been at the rescue far too long and truly deserves a loving home. Found underweight and alone in downtown, Maury was brought to Second Chance Animal Alliance, where he regained his health and spirit with the help of caring staff. Now, he’s a healthy, energetic four-year-old dog who would make a fun and loyal running companion. Maury is a big fan of chasing balls—he'll even bring them back (most of the time)! His love for water is endless, whether it's a pond or a playful water hose session. Maury seeks out affection and thrives on positive attention, quickly picking up basic training during his stay. Due to a lack of early socialization, Maury doesn’t always read other dogs well, sometimes mixing play signals with excited energy. With more training and a chance to burn off energy, he has the potential to learn more social skills, but for now, he would do best as the only pet in his next home. He's perfect for someone who wants an exuberant, clever dog to share adventures—Maury dreams of chasing waves at the beach, hiking trails, and finally resting on the couch with people who adore him. He’ll do well with older children who match his playful zest. He's sweet, up-to-date on all vaccines, and leash-trained, awaiting the family who will finally see the amazing dog he is. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
