About Josie
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Josie is a sweet girl who may need just a few minutes to warm up, but once she does, she will be devoted to you. Josie picks up on new commands quickly—she already knows how to sit, is learning down, and is working on stay. Her intelligence shines, and she's eager to make her person proud. If you are searching for a hiking companion, Josie would make a wonderful partner. She enjoys exploring, and though she is still building confidence with new experiences, her curiosity and adventurous spirit come through, especially when she's eager to check out new places. Josie is house trained and will clearly let you know when she needs to go outside. She does pretty well on a leash, although she occasionally lets her nose take the lead. Being crated is not Josie's favorite, and she does better when out and about in the house. She would not be an ideal choice for an apartment setting if crating is needed, as she will let you know she’s unhappy about it. Josie really loves other dogs and plays well with them—her experience with doggie daycare has been a success! While her behavior with cats and small children is unknown, she’s likely to be most comfortable living with older kids who understand she needs to approach on her own terms. Josie can’t wait to find an active, understanding home that will let her flourish. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
