Josie is a sweet girl that needs just a few minutes to warm up to you. When you are in you are in, she will love you& you will be her person. Josie seems to be pretty smart & picks up new commands quickly. She knows sit & is doing well with down & is working on stay. If you are looking for a hiking companion, I think Josie would be great for it. She likes to explore although still working on her confidence with new experiences but will jump up on ledges when she wants to go explore so would probably go wherever her person goes. And likes to go in the car. She is house trained; will let you know when she needs to go out. She does okay on a leash but is still working on not following her nose as she pleases. She is not a fan of being crated but does well out in the house when not crated. She will voice her displeasure when crated so being crated on an apartment setting would not be ideal. Josie loves other dogs & plays well with them. She has been to doggie daycare & did well. Cats and small kids are unknown but due to apprehension would probably do better with older kids that know to let her come to them.
