Zarah is a sweet, smart, and active Shepherd who is looking for a forever home. Her journey hasn’t been easy—after surviving in the woods alone in extreme heat, she arrived at the rescue thin and heartworm positive. She has since completed heartworm treatment, is now spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Zarah loves the company of other dogs, does well with cats, and enjoys being around children. She is house trained and kennel trained, making the transition into a new home easier. Though she may act shy when meeting new people, Zarah quickly becomes affectionate, eager to snuggle, and keen to be someone’s loyal companion.
