Storm is a seven-year-old Weimaraner with the lively spirit of a Doberman packed into a sturdy, athletic frame. He’s spent five years waiting for the right home and needs a person who will match his energy. Storm has jumped between several homes simply because most couldn’t keep up with him; a securely fenced yard (six feet or taller) is required for this jumper, as he can clear anything shorter when determined. Storm is all about his people. He does not get along with other dogs—male or female—and his prey drive is too strong to share a home with small animals. If you’re a pet-free, active family, Storm will thrive. He’s playful, loves trampoline time, and never turns down a game of fetch—he even brings the ball back. He may pull on leash, but he responds to basic commands, especially "sit," which helps rein him in. Despite his size and brawn, he’s gentle with children and has lived around kids from newborn to 13 without issue, but no child should walk him alone. Storm will happily curl up on the couch or bed with you all day if you let him. He’s less fond of fireworks and storms (the irony isn’t lost here).
