About Aaron

What are you waiting for? Apply today! Aaron has had quite the journey, traveling all the way from New Mexico to Minnesota with his three siblings in search of a better life. Once living outdoors and unsure of kindness, he's now embraced the comforts of warm beds, all the pets he can handle, and delicious treats. Aaron is the ultimate mutt—with mostly Pittie/Bullie in his heritage, plus hints of Chow, Husky, Shar-Pei, Aussie, Shepherd, Chihuahua, American Eskimo, and even a touch of Polynesian street dog—making him a unique companion with a little bit of everything, including 2% wolf! His foster mom calls him both her “little wolf” and “Prancer” for his confident little gait when feeling good on walks. Though walks can still be intimidating for Aaron, his foster family works patiently with him, helping him learn that the world isn’t so scary. He’s making great progress, especially with the help of a confident dog sibling, and is steadily becoming braver with city noises and new sights. Aaron takes daily medication for shyness and sensitive skin, but he’s an absolute champ about it—especially when a treat’s involved! Aaron has mastered kennel and potty training, and can even ring bells to ask to go outside (he’s even tried using them for snack requests). He knows basic commands like sit, shake, down, look, and leave it, and truly adores chin scratches. Ideal homes for Aaron will offer patience, a confident dog sibling to learn from, no small children (fast movement and loud noises startle him), and maybe even a jogging buddy. A big yard to play fetch, a cozy bed, and someone who loves him for his gentle spirit would make his dreams come true. He might need a bit of extra understanding at first, but in return, you’ll get the loyalty and love of a sweet, playful, and affectionate companion. Give Aaron the chance to show you how special a little wolf can be! They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
