About Kovu
Kovu is a resilient German Shepherd/Husky mix who has survived more than most. After being rescued from severe neglect with his puppies, he’s come a long way but is still searching for the right human to continue his journey. Kovu is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, housebroken, and crate trained. He truly shines around other dogs—he loves having canine companions, especially puppies, and thrives as part of a pack. People are a different story: Kovu is cautious and not a cuddler, but once he trusts you, he’ll play and even dish out the occasional kiss. He’s a quiet, calm presence who prefers a low-key environment. Kovu needs an adopter who understands patience and can give him space to adjust. He is best in homes with older, dog-savvy children or no kids at all. He must have other friendly dogs to keep him company and help build his confidence. He’s not suited to homes with cats. Kovu may never be the dog you can snuggle, but his loyalty and gentle companionship are rewarding in their own right. This survivor is waiting for someone who appreciates love in its quieter forms. Kovu is in Sealy, TX and, fun fact, as a Virgo, he’s observant and careful but deeply loyal. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
