Marmalade is a young, small female domestic short hair cat who is house trained and currently being cared for at Romeoville Humane Society. She has been spayed and, while her vaccinations are not up to date, she's eager for a loving home. Marmalade is managing a urinary health concern called cystitis, which is controlled with prescription food and occasional medication, so her adopter will need to be attentive to her needs.

About Marmalade

Your new best friend is just one click away. Wow, what a sweetheart Marmalade is! She steals hearts with her loving nature—although she may start off a little timid, give her a few days and she'll begin to form a trusting bond with you. Once comfortable, Marmalade enjoys attention and affection, yet still cherishes her independence. Her playful side truly shines when she feels at ease. Marmalade is currently a bit of a mystery when it comes to other cats. While she’s genuinely interested in feline company, her rough-and-tumble wrestling style isn't for everyone, and only her closest family members have truly appreciated her enthusiastic play. Rest assured she is never aggressive, just exuberantly playful! Bird and squirrel watching from a screened window is her favorite way to spend an afternoon—she loves feeling the breeze and sharing her soft coos with those nearby. With her "forever kitten" face and the tiniest nose, Marmalade promises to win you over in no time. She experiences some urinary issues, diagnosed as cystitis, and currently requires prescription food and occasional medication for flare-ups. For this reason, a home with a previous cat owner would be the ideal match for her. Ready to help Marmalade write her next chapter? They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
