About Chelsea
Chelsea is a spirited, intelligent, and affectionate Pittie mix with a big personality. Born under the playful sign of Leo, she brings both energy and warmth wherever she goes. She loves toys, outdoor walks, treats, and especially joining for car rides. In the evenings, she's happiest curling up beside her favorite person, nudging a hand for a little extra affection. She’s highly food-motivated and picks up new tricks quickly—though she’s clever enough to open some door handles, so a few child locks might be necessary. Chelsea is crate and house trained, and she can be trusted to free roam. While she’s made tremendous progress overcoming fears (like baths) with the help of her foster family, she does need an adopter willing to provide structure and understanding. Chelsea thrives in a home with adults or older teens, as she’s sensitive to loud or unpredictable movements and can be wary of men. She doesn’t get along with other dogs or cats and would do best as the only pet. She can become mouthy when excited, so calm, thoughtful play is important. She doesn’t bark much but will quickly step in if household quarrels start—she’s got a natural supervisor streak. Chelsea has worked hard on leash manners but remains reactive, especially with male dogs, so ongoing management is key. During thunderstorms or anxious moments, she seeks comfort from those she trusts. Once she bonds, Chelsea is deeply loyal, goofy, courageous, and loving. For a patient and experienced adopter seeking a devoted companion, Chelsea offers endless love and a whole lot of heart. Click apply to start the adoption process.
