Guinness is a gentle soul with a sweet, quiet charm. He may start off a little shy, but deep down, all he wants is to be loved. Every day he’s discovering just how wonderful pets, cuddles, and cozy spots can be. He loves neck massages, happily walks up for special pets, and even lets you pick him up. At night, he enjoys snuggling on the couch or curling up in bed for a while before settling in. Guinness is WONDERFUL with other cats and lives with quite a few other foster sibling cats and shares a room with two small dogs who he gets along great with! His calm, kind nature makes him an easy companion! He has a soft spot for treats—especially the lickable ones—and is always looking for a warm place to relax! Now for his story: Guinness came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation and was extremely timid when he first arrived. He hid for months under furniture, unsure of people and unsure of himself. But since March, he has made incredible progress. His health has improved, his coat is shiny, and his personality has blossomed in the most beautiful way. Guinness is now ready to find his forever family—a patient, loving home where he can continue to grow in confidence and share all the love he’s been waiting to give. We cannot hold our cats for any reason. Please do not apply unless you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into the home within three days of applying. Adoption Fee Includes: Spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, FVRCP vaccines, SNAP test, dewormer, flea/tick prevention, and general wellness care. Please note: Foster-to-adopt homes must be within 30 miles of Lemont and use one of our partnered vets. We do not adopt out of state until the cat is fully vetted.
