About Nico
Nico is a striking black and white tuxedo cat with an unforgettable half-mustache and soulful eyes that just seem to look right through you. Born in mid July 2022, she's a talkative companion who'll make her presence—and her affections—well known. Nico is all personality and charm, happiest stretching out with you for lazy evenings on the couch or engaging with her people every day. At first glance, she may seem like any other cat, but Nico is paralyzed from a likely ruptured disk that has left her without mobility or feeling in her back end. She was found on the street, calling for help, and though her case seemed grim at first, she rebounded with resilience and spirit. She's playful, loves her meals, and wants nothing more than to be near someone who will love her back. Nico's care is specialized: her bladder must be expressed three to four times a day, so a steady and reliable routine is essential. She needs someone with experience in caring for paralyzed animals who can both understand her limitations and appreciate her boundless capacity for joy. She is spayed, vaccinated, FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped. If you can provide the support and love Nico thrives on, she will prove how much life and companionship a special-needs cat can offer.
