About Newt
Think you are the one? Submit an application! Meet Newt, a remarkable young Husky/Dutch Shepherd mix born in March 2024, whose resilience and zest for life inspire everyone who meets her. She entered the world with advanced cataracts, resulting in limited vision, but thanks to a successful surgery provided by SOAR Rescue, Newt now enjoys partial sight and is eagerly discovering her surroundings like never before. Although still visually impaired, this spirited girl remains unstoppable and curious about everything. Newt is as affectionate as she is brave. She’s gentle, adores the company of people and dogs alike, and is ideally suited for a household with another pet who can help guide her. She thrives best with a family dedicated to ongoing veterinary care, particularly regular check-ins with a veterinary ophthalmologist, to help maintain her vision and overall health. Despite her unique challenges, Newt is overflowing with curiosity, playfulness, and love. She seeks a forever family ready to embrace her needs, celebrate her vibrant spirit, and provide the support she deserves.
