About Luxe
Luxe was transferred to Safe Haven in Wells, ME in May 2025 from another shelter. Over time, she’s really begun to settle in. By December, the volunteers who spend the most time with her discovered Luxe loves a good squeeze treat, especially when it’s offered from a scratching stick. If she especially trusts someone, she’ll even eat right from their finger. Petting sessions with the scratching stick have become a favorite. Luxe sometimes drifts off to sleep mid-pet, clearly relaxed in the right company. She’s tolerant and has adjusted well to sharing space with the other cats, gravitating toward a few she prefers, like Shiloh and Sara. While Luxe doesn’t join in much with toys, she does like to observe the social scene unfold around her, watching the play from her spot. Luxe gets along well with other cats, appreciates a calm environment, and is looking for a home that will respect her gentle, somewhat reserved approach to new experiences. Luxe was born on November 2, making her a Scorpio—so she’s got a quietly intense side all her own. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
