About Tucker
They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Tucker is looking for a fresh start after his world was turned upside down when his previous owner moved into a nursing home. Initially shy and withdrawn, he has started to blossom while waiting for a new family. Tucker will thrive best in a home without small children, where he can fully relax and adjust at his own pace. He previously lived with another dog and is known for his calm and quiet nature. Weighing around 60 lbs, Tucker is acclimated to indoor living and is almost fully housetrained. He would love a secure yard to enjoy, and adopters should be prepared for more than one visit if coming from out of the area. Please note, the rescue does not adopt to college students but welcomes volunteers. A fenced yard may be required to ensure his safety. This could be the start of something paw-some.

Questions about Tucker
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Shepherd/mixed breed dogs typically do best in homes with active families or individuals who can offer regular exercise and companionship. They enjoy having space to move around, making suburban and rural environments ideal, though they can adapt to city living if their needs are met.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Shepherd mixes enjoy regular access to outdoor spaces like fenced yards or frequent walks to burn off their energy. While they appreciate a yard, they can be content in smaller spaces with enough daily physical and mental stimulation.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Shepherd/mixed breeds are often great with children, especially when socialized from a young age. Supervision and proper introductions are important, and families should ensure that kids understand how to interact appropriately with dogs.
