About Soda Pop
Soda Pop is a social, sweet-natured boy who doesn’t let his disability slow him down. He adores playful romps, tossing around tennis balls, and showering people with kisses. Though he has spinal arachnoid diverticulum, Soda Pop stays active and happy with a simple, daily over-the-counter medication. Since his diagnosis in September 2024, he’s made huge progress—he was a bit unsteady at first but now moves with surprising confidence thanks to medication. His adopter should be prepared to keep an eye on his condition and consult a vet if symptoms reappear. The disease may affect his lifespan if symptoms worsen, but right now he’s living life to the fullest. Soda Pop is easy to care for in other ways—he takes his medicine with a treat and never turns down the chance for a snack, even sneaking a potato chip when he can. He enjoys all sorts of toys, from tough chews to soft plush animals. Soda Pop was abandoned at Robyn's Nest alongside his siblings and will only be adopted with his brother Cola, or he’ll remain in sanctuary care with his sisters. While he gets along well with other dogs and children, he does not get along with cats. Soda Pop’s birthday makes him an Aquarius, so expect a streak of independence and a loving, quirky personality to come with him. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
