Poppy is a special lady looking for a special home. She is about 10-12- months old and very small. Poppy came to rescue after being found in an empty trailer with her kittens. She had been without food for a long time and needed emergency care. Now recovered from her ordeal, she still has "starvation syndrome" which means she needs to have her food intake monitored via several small meals a day. Poppy needs a special person to help her heal. Ongoing help to overcome her obsession with food, and to learn to trust again will be needed. Poppy is very sweet, however, and wants to be a lap cat badly. Because of her startle response, she will need an indoor only, adult only home with no other cats.
