About Charlie
Charlie is a 10- to 11-year-old neutered male tabby with a soft spot for people he trusts. He’ll greet you with a head rub, settle into your lap, and even flop over for a belly rub. Catnip is a favorite pastime. If you pet him wrong, he lets you know, but give him a moment to get comfortable and he’ll relax fast—he just needs a minute or two to realize you’re safe. Charlie is shy with strangers and may hiss at first, though this is more bravado than anything else. Once past his nerves, he’s sweet and affectionate. Charlie insists on a home without other cats, dogs, or children. Years ago, he was feral, but that’s long behind him. He’s lived in a rescue holding space for years and now deserves a place to call his own. With FIV+ status, the risk to other cats (especially if a bite occurs) means he should be the only feline. He’s had all veterinary work completed—fully neutered, vaccines up to date, and a thorough dental with several extractions. According to December 2024 bloodwork, he’s in fine shape aside from his missing teeth. FIV+ cats like Charlie often lead long, happy lives indoors. If you want a low-key, affectionate cat and can offer him a quiet home free of other animals and young children, Charlie might be your match. He’s ready for his own chapter.
