About Bruno
Start your journey together! Apply now. Bruno is a spirited Australian Cattle Dog (blue merle) who’s currently enjoying life in the Los Angeles area after being rescued from a local shelter. Bruno’s journey hasn’t always been easy—he’s moved between homes and the shelter a few times, partly due to his tendency to nip when startled or overstimulated. With time, patience, and understanding, he’s really begun to show his playful and loving side. He’s happiest outdoors, especially playing fetch in the yard, and he lights up when treats are involved. Bruno knows how to sit, lie down, and shake paws, and he’s motivated to learn even more with the right guidance. He’s house trained and does well in his pen area, especially when encouraged with snacks. Bruno has been good with other calm dogs in his current foster home, but he prefers a home without children due to his history. Bruno thrives with routine, a gentle approach, and experienced handlers who can work with his sensitivities. He can be protective of his space and startle easily, so a patient owner willing to invest in training—possibly with professional help—will help him flourish. He’ll do best in a home with a yard or with plenty of opportunities for walks and play. Bruno’s adoption fee has already been sponsored, making it even easier to welcome this smart and loyal companion into your life. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
