About Montana
Montana is proof that a wild spirit can flourish in a home. Rescued as one of the most feral cats Staten Island could throw at you, her first experience with things like food bowls, pillows, or even floors was a revelation. She came in with no memories of humans, so every interaction now is shaped by patience and gentleness, making her trust in people a hard-earned privilege. Montana moves through the house with a cautious but curious eye—a survivor used to navigating the wilderness on her own. Other cats baffle her, suggesting she’s flown solo for a long time. She’s always watching for your cue and learning what home life means. Petting once was foreign to Montana, but now she genuinely enjoys it and will even curl up on a lap. Give her plenty of spring toys and a water bin in the tub and she’ll entertain herself for hours, fishing like it’s second nature, slapping toys across the floor but never making a mess. Just recently, she found her voice and meowed with delight—a small but big milestone. She has a fondness for cooked, peeled shrimp, a treat she never turns down. Montana is ready for a life far removed from her old battles. If you want a bug gladiator with dazzling prism-green eyes and sweet white socks, this bold, curious girl is waiting for the right person to say yes. Your new best friend is just one click away.
