At 38 pounds, I’m the perfect mix of cuddle buddy and playmate. Like Sophia, I’ve got a little sass, but like Blanche, I soak up every ounce of attention and affection. I’m still working on my house, crate, and leash skills, but I’ve already mastered the art of chasing the big dogs, leaping over them with style, and keeping the place free of cats (they’re just not my thing). My bursts of hound energy are followed by moments of calm, so I can thrive in either a house or an apartment. Give me plenty of bones, puzzles, and chew toys, and I’ll keep myself entertained in true Golden Girls fashion. I’ll admit—I’m cautious with new people at first. Slow introductions help me feel secure, and once I trust you, I’ll be by your side, loyal and affectionate. I do best with confident, dominant dogs as my playmates, regardless of whether they’re boys or girls. Like Dorothy holding the group together, I may be a little guarded at first, but once I’m settled, I’m yours.
