About Duncan Doggie
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Duncan Doggie, an almost 6-year-old, 67-pound Pit Bull Terrier who has plenty of love to share and is looking for a special home to call his own. Duncan’s journey hasn’t been easy—he was found in rough shape at Avenal State Prison in California, covered in wounds and without much fur. With dedicated care and lots of love, Duncan has transformed into a happy, healthy, and resilient companion. This lovable boy adores people and will happily soak up attention from anyone, including children—he’s currently living with kids aged 3-14 and does wonderfully with them. Duncan is playful and enjoys playing fetch, tug-of-war, and running around the yard, but he also appreciates lazy cuddle time with his favorite blanket. Because of his history, Duncan needs to be an only dog in the home; he is fearful and reactive around adult dogs, though he has done well with puppies. Duncan also thrives on a special diet—he must be on grain and poultry-free food to prevent allergies that once affected his skin and fur. He doesn’t let being down 14 teeth stop him from enjoying his food or treats. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a sweet, affectionate dog who needs to be the only pet, Duncan Doggie is waiting to meet you. He truly deserves a loving environment where he can relax, play, and be adored. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
