About Train
Train is a large, senior mixed hound and black lab who’s earned his simple pleasures—a good nap in the sun, a warm spot on the sofa, the constant company of anyone kind. He’s spent much of his life outside and fenced off, but a compassionate friend stepped in and turned things around, and for the first time, Train learned what a true home feels like. Now—through no fault of his own—he needs one last landing, temporary or forever, after his elderly caregiver had to move. At around 12 or 13 years old and about 70 lbs, Train still loves being around people. He’s calm, mellow, and takes things at an easy pace. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, and is good with children; you’ll find him friendly, gentle, and undemanding. He’s crate trained, recently finished his heartworm treatment, and enjoys being wherever someone has a soft spot for him. Sunbathing, snoozing, and soaking in his people’s company—he’s pretty much the expert. Train is waiting in Wilmington, NC. Whether you can offer a foster spot or a forever place, he’ll make your house feel more like home. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
