He is neutered, vaccinated, and house trained. Burt gets along well with other dogs and children and has recovered from previous health issues, making him ready for a loving, peaceful home.
About Burt
Burt has been through more than most dogs his age, but his resilience shows in how easygoing he is today. When he first came to the rescue, he was underweight, dealing with heartworm, and needed ACL surgery. After diligent care, he's now healthyāhe finished heartworm treatment, gained weight, and recovered fully from surgery. Burtās nearly 11 and a half, weighs in at 63 lbs, and is thought to be a Lab and Pit Bull mix with a mellow, gentle spirit. Heās house trained, doesnāt need a crate, and gets along well with calm dogs. Burt isnāt one for rough play; he prefers the company of other easygoing dogs who just want to relax. An easy, peaceful home would suit him bestāespecially with another mellow companion. Burt gets along with other dogs and children. Heās looking for a family within an hour of the DFW Metroplex whoās ready to give a senior dog a soft landing. Fun fact: Burt is a Leo, making him a loyal companion with plenty of heart.
