About Burt
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Burt came to the rescue last July in need of extra care, being underweight, heartworm positive, and with a torn ACL. Over the past year, he's made an inspiring recovery—he's at a healthy weight, finished heartworm treatment, and fully healed from his ACL surgery. Burt is now ready for a forever home to call his own. He is a gentle, easygoing dog who is completely house trained, does not need crating, and enjoys the company of other calm dogs. Rather than chasing toys, he prefers quiet relaxation. The perfect environment for Burt would be a peaceful home, ideally with a mellow canine companion. Burt is nearly 11 years old, weighs 63 lbs, and appears to be a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier mix. Born July 25 makes him a fun and loyal Leo—Leos are known for their heart and devotion!
