About Bernie Big Ol' Happy
Say hello to Bernie Big Ol' Happy! Picked up as a stray, Bernie never had anyone come searching for him, but that didn’t stop him from charming every volunteer he met. He narrowly avoided euthanasia thanks to his sweet nature and is now thriving in a foster home. Bernie is estimated to be about 6 years old and has settled well with the kids in his foster family—he does great with them and enjoys their company. There are several dogs in his foster home, and Bernie has made it clear he prefers being in charge. He gets along with some, especially those who are submissive, but can clash with other dominant personalities. For that reason, he’d do well either as an only dog or with easygoing canine siblings. Bernie still has a playful side without the chaos of a young pup; he’s that perfect, mature balance of fun and calm. If you’re searching for a seasoned companion who’s outgrown wild puppy antics but still loves to play and soak up affection, Bernie could be just the one. Ready to meet your new best friend?
