About Bernie Big Ol' Happy
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Bernie, a sweet and resilient friend who is ready for his next adventure! After being left unclaimed at a crowded shelter, Bernie was given a second chance thanks to his gentle, loving spirit and the dedication of some caring volunteers. Estimated at around six years old, he has settled beautifully into foster care surrounded by children—where he truly thrives. Bernie shares his foster home with several dogs, and his personality truly shines: while he gets along well with some canine companions, he prefers to be the "Man in Charge." For this reason, Bernie would do best as either an only dog or with calm, submissive dog siblings who let him lead the pack. This lovable fellow is mature—but don't let that fool you, he still enjoys playful moments without the wild antics of a puppy. If you're looking for a steady, affectionate companion to share both quiet times and silly play, Bernie might just be your perfect match. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
