About Mushu
Mushu has spent his life as the de facto leader, looking after a pack of dogs locked away with no exposure to the outside world. Now, for the first time, Mushu needs people who can keep a steady eye on him and let him finally relax from that weight. Life for the SW Shed dogs meant never leaving a shed, fed but never socialized or vetted. He’s never known a day apart from his siblings, and everything outside his former world is overwhelming. Mushu’s ideal home is calm, stable, and follows some strict routines: a martingale collar and drag leash at all times, absolutely no time off-leash for much longer than your average dog. He’ll need lots of patience—extra time to settle, walks on hold until he’s fully adjusted, and a tracking device on 24/7 for at least eight months. Mushu depends on canine company; he communicates best around dogs and will struggle if he’s the only one. Everyday things like traffic, crowds, or city noise will be a lot for him, so treat him more like a cat—homebodies preferred, social butterflies need not apply. Be ready to hold space for him in a way most dogs never need. Steady, gentle, and dog-savvy folks should step up for this special lead dog. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
