Harleigh
AvailableHarleigh is an 8-year-old, 4-month-old spayed female mixed breed Pit Bull Terrier in Pekin, IL. She has a short fawn and white coat and is house trained. Her vaccinations are up to date, and she does well with other dogs and cats. Harleigh enjoys a calm, comfortable environment and brings plenty of love to her new family.
About Harleigh
Harleigh came to the rescue after a major change in her life—a house fire that left her and her three dog housemates without a home. When her owner couldn’t take them back, the prospect of euthanasia came up, but the rescue stepped in to offer them a real second chance. Harleigh keeps her area clean, takes comfort in a pile of blankets, and loves lounging in a bed. She does well with other dogs, having lived with them before, and her time in foster care showed she can coexist with cats. However, Harleigh is not suited to a home with young children; she can get overwhelmed and reactive in busy family environments. In her senior years, Harleigh is looking for a quiet place to enjoy a yard and bask in the sun. With her short, fawn-and-white coat and a steady, affectionate nature, she’s ready for a home that matches her pace. Fun fact: Harleigh was born on January 1, which makes her a practical and loyal Capricorn. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
