About Katara
Katara is an 8-year-old, 25-pound Labrador Retriever mix with a reserved but loving personality. She isn't the type to beg for constant cuddles, but she offers genuine affection and a strong appetite for lifeโand for treats. Katara thrives when surrounded by other dogs, cats, and older, respectful kids. She's both kennel and house trained, giving her some extra polish in the home. Because she's still learning to find trust with people and new experiences, Katara needs a fully fenced, private yard and is not suited for apartment living. She takes her time warming up, but with patience and understanding, she will settle in as a gentle and hopeful companion. Katara's adoption fee covers her spay, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip. She can be adopted out of state, but her adopter must physically come to pick her up and return her if things don't work out. Rescue One does not place dogs in outdoor-only homes.
