About Kaiju
I’ve survived the streets, found my courage, and now I’m ready to find my forever family. My name is Kaiju. I’m a 53 pound, 2 year old Husky/Shepherd mix fella, and I am looking for my furever family. My brother Voodoo and I were found as strays and had to survive on our own for several weeks before we were finally caught by animal control. Lucky for us, we are both now in an awesome foster home learning what it means to be a beloved pet. I am basically house broken and do pretty well on a leash. I get along with other dogs my size or larger (with slow introductions), but I prefer hanging out with humans over dogs. Bigger, sturdy kiddos are great, but I might accidentally knock little bitties down. I have a high prey drive, so I will need a home without cats. My home needs a 4-5 foot fenced yard so I can run and play. My personality is shy and reserved at first, but once we spend 20 minutes together, I will show you my cuddly side. I enjoy car rides and sitting for treats. No apartments for me since I can be a little too talkative. A need a family with patience and love and you will be rewarded with my undying loyalty and a lifetime of cuddles. I am a high-energy guy, and I would love an active family who will take me on lots of adventures to dog-friendly places. If I seem like a good fit for your family, please fill out an application to adopt me so we can meet! My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out* Don't forget to LIKE us on Facebook!-www.facebook.com/rescueonespringfield *Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home.
