AvailableJeannie is a young, small mixed-breed Beagle with a short coat, living in Lincolnwood, IL. She is spayed and her vaccinations are up to date. Although she has just one eye, Jeannie moves confidently and shows no signs of slowing down.
About Jeannie
Jeannie is a one-year-old, one-eyed girl who didn’t have an easy start, but she doesn’t let that slow her down. Her limp, once an issue from an old break, has healed up. She’s fast on her feet and tackles life just like any other dog. After her damaged eye was removed, Jeannie kept moving forward—she jumps, climbs, runs, and explores without hesitation. Jeannie is affectionate and adores attention from people and other dogs. Having flourished since joining rescue, she’s a naturally social companion who will thrive in a home with another respectful dog. She’s resilient, loving, and eager to share her story with a new family who will fully commit to her for the long haul. She’s still working on her potty training and will need guidance and routine, so patience and a flexible schedule at home are must-haves. Jeannie is fully vetted: spayed, vaccinated for her age, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm and tick-borne illness. Small dogs like Jeannie can live long lives, so her adopter should be ready for many years together. Because she’s under a year and still sharpening her house skills, she isn’t a good fit for someone who can’t offer consistency and time during the day. Jeannie is in a foster home in Lincolnwood, IL, and will only be adopted to local homes. There’s no shelter to visit—adopters need to complete the process and agreeable to a home visit.
