Greasy and her mother and siblings were abandoned in the middle of the night in a carrier outside the San Bernardino Animal Shelter. A security guard saw a car leaving and located the carrier. The following morning the cat family came into the foster case of one of the RHS volunteers. They were emaciated and dirty. Greasy got her unique name because the kittens were so food deprived and hungry that she got into every edible thing she could find as she grew and got stronger, including the foster dog's chicken stew!
