Hewey
AvailableHewey is a large, adult, neutered male mixed breed currently living in Stokesdale, NC. He has a hearing impairment and is looking for a caring adopter ready to give him the gentle understanding he needs as he adjusts to new surroundings.
About Hewey
Hewey has been through quite a bit—he arrived at Red Dog after being airlifted from Ashville Humane Society in the chaos following hurricane Helen. This older mixed breed is cautiously affectionate; he tends to hang back for a few moments before his loving side shines through. His social skills with both dogs and cats are still developing, and he's finding his way learning to interact with new friends. Hewey does have a hearing impairment, so a little extra patience goes a long way with him. Follow his journey as his personality and resilience continue to reveal themselves.
