About Chestnut
Chestnut is a male Shepherd mix who landed in rescue after a tough stretch living on the streets. Now about a year and a half old, heās recovered nicely and adjusted well in his foster home. Chestnut's foster mom describes him as the sweetest, most affectionate, and playful dogāa real people-pleaser who also enjoys the company of other dogs. He loves to run, play with toys, and is quick to pick up on new routines. His intelligence shows through in how fast he learns and adapts. Chestnut just wants a family who will keep him safe, shower him with love, and give him a soft bed to curl up in at night. Heās good with people, gets along with other dogs, and does well with children. Chestnut is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and has been neutered. While heās currently located in New York, transport can be arranged for the right adopter if youāre a bit farther out. All heās waiting for is a home where he can finally settle in for good.
