Mack started life in a truck yard, where his stray mom tried to raise her puppies among moving semis and big rigs. Early on, he was skittish around people, but a kind stranger managed to earn his trust and bring him to safety. While his siblings quickly found homes, Mack had a rougher path—involving a month in critical care after an injury—but he’s bounced back. He shows off the last reminders of his ER days as proud little scars on his leg. People often say Mack takes after his dad, a Labrador/Hound mix who lives at the yard, and at 7 months old, Mack’s already about 30 lbs. He’s expected to reach 50-60 lbs as an adult. He’s got a short fawn coat, a playful spirit, and a loving personality. Mack gets along with other dogs and enjoys human affection just as much. He’s working hard on leash training and is nearly house-trained. Treats and belly rubs are high on his list of favorite things. Mack would do best with older kids.
