Matilda is a 7-year-old Siberian Husky who’s grown especially resilient from her time as a stray in Itasca, TX. She’s mostly blind, but you’d never know it from how calmly she explores once she’s familiar with a space. Gray and white with a thick medium coat, Matilda prefers hanging out with her people—lounging at your feet, chewing on a bone, or sunbathing quietly. She’s markedly gentle and affectionate, enjoying soft beds, cool floors, and treats. While she’ll sometimes get playful and bow, most of the time she’s content just to be nearby. This girl is house trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. She travels well in the car and is unfailingly mellow for a Husky. Matilda usually ignores other dogs and is described as the quietest, most relaxed Husky her fosters have met. She gets along with children but isn’t suited for homes with free-roaming cats, as her interest in them is too intense. Small caged animals are fine, and she’s currently fostered with a cat kept safely separated.
