Sam came in as a stray and, after her quarantine period, she’s now on the mend. She’s been spayed, tested, and received a clean bill regarding heartworm. She did test positive for two tick-borne diseases, but a 28-day course of doxycycline will clear that up and she’ll be back at full strength. Because Sam is still shelter-based, staff don’t know much yet about her detailed quirks or activity level. What’s clear so far is she’s resilient and ready for a new start.
