Meet Tofurkey, our awkward little holiday miracle. This ~2 year old bully (exotic microbully technically?:() was bred and born to suffer, but is a complete sweetheart and so happy for any attention. By the nature of his breeding, he can barely breath or walk- bad hips, deformed front legs, narrowed nostrils and an elongated soft palate, and gets winded and overheated easily. And as if that's not bad enough then he had his ears chopped off for cosmetic reasons. His owner was arrested and he ended up in a local animal control dripping blood from a prolapsed urethra (ouch! another common issue in these little gremlins) that needed emergency surgery plus a long overdue neuter to prevent any more of him from existing. He's getting surgery soon to make it easier to breathe, and will need a home that can stay on top of his medical needs longterm. He can run and walk awkwardly but does best on softer surfaces as he sometimes drags his back legs.
