Obi is a lap dog in a big dog's body. He is a goofy, loving, sweet soul who loves belly rubs. Obi is a velcro dog and would do well with a family where he gets to be with them as much as possible. An ideal home would be with a family who homeschools or a dog parent that works from home. Obi is extremely dog friendly and is BFFs with his foster sister. His foster family ADORES him and would love to adopt him, but Obi has a prey drive and the foster has cats. Obi is afraid of stairs, so please take that into consideration when applying. The foster is working on leash training, as Obi's Husky heart wants to mush when he's on a lead. Obi is 1.5 years old, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Raising The Bar Animal rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our out of state adoption fee is $195 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of departure.
